i am a 29-year-old fulbright fellow (with a phd degree) coming to austin from moscow, russia, to spend the upcoming academic year doing research at the ut campus. i am planning on getting the most out of this experience, both professionally and spiritually. i am arriving on august 5, so i need to find a place to stay, at least for the first 2 weeks before i find something more permanent. i will have a monthly allowance provided as part of my grant program, so there shouldn’t be any problem paying the rent. my grant program ends on june 11, so i either head back home around that time or do some traveling around the us if i am lucky.

at this stage i cannot say exactly how much time i will be staying indoors vs. outdoors, but i can describe myself as a pet-friendly, open-minded and rather quiet roommate keeping to her own business. i do not smoke and drink. neither am i crazy about partying.

i hope to find a roommate who i could not only get along with but also become friends with and share some of the most memorable moments with while i am in the us.

ideally, i would like to rent a furnished room (with a desk for doing studies) together with a private bathroom, not far away from the bus route to ut, in a quiet neighborhood.
