50 y/o non-smoking, female who owns a 3000 sq. ft. 5 bedroom home is looking for one other roommate. home is on a corner lot in a well established quiet neighborhood, close to the monitor merrimac bridge tunnel in western branch - chesapeake/suffolk (close to i-664, i-64, i-264 and routes 17 & 58). tucked in between portsmouth and suffolk. near chesapeake square mall, russell memorial library, western branch park, two ymca locations, coast guard base and maryview hospital. it is close to newport news & hampton as well. owner has a small westie dog, so tenant must be pet-friendly. owner loves to cook and tenants are often invited to enjoy the end results. the room is currently a soft textured lavender color and does has a floor to ceiling wizard of oz mural of the emerald city (all of which can be painted over if desired). the room has a large walk-in closet with shelving. can work with tenant if additional shelving if needed.. room comes unfurnished but can be furnished with bed, tv, chair, table, etc. for $75.00 extra each month. i am looking for someone who cleans up after themselves in all areas of the house, and practices good hygiene habits; this includes washing hands and cleaning the bathroom on a routine basis. also expect the tenant to sweep kitchen/entryway floors if dirt, leaves, etc. are tracked in from outside and empty the kitchen trash if needed.. (just routine courtesy items). room measures 12’5" x 17’ and has a separate walk-in closet and shelving area measuring 6’ x 6’. rent paid monthly. first & last month rent required in lieu of a deposit. last month rent can be paid in two installments. a background check of criminal, employment and rental history will be required. you will be responsible to pay rent no later than the 5th of the month in the amount of $600.00, which includes utilities or $675.00 which includes utilities & furnishings. no out-of-state checks accepted.
